Publication of Ham and Petersham Neighbourhood Development Plan

Public Consultation – 6 December 2017 to 26 January 2018
The Ham and Petersham Neighbourhood Forum have prepared a draft Neighbourhood Development Plan for the area in consultation with the local community. This Plan, together with the Consultation Statement, Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Determination and a Basic Condition Statement, was submitted to the Council on 14 September 2017.
The draft Plan is now subject to public consultation from 6 December 2017 until 5pm on 26 January 2018 and is available to view and download on the Council’s website
If you wish to make representations on the draft Plan, please use the Representation Form, which is also available to download via the above link.
Reference copies of the Plan and its supporting documentation, together with representation forms, are available at the Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham, TW1 3BZ and Ham Library, Ham Street, TW10 7HR.
Representations can be submitted via email to or by post to Planning Policy, Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham, TW1 3BZ. Representations must be received no later than 5pm on Friday 26 January 2018. Please note that responses will not be treated as confidential and anonymous responses will not be accepted.
All responses received will be forwarded to an independent Examiner, who will conduct an examination into the draft Plan and consider the representations before a decision is made as to whether the Plan can proceed to a local referendum. At the referendum stage, the Plan requires a majority “yes” vote in order for it to be “made”, meaning it is brought into legal force as part of the Borough’s statutory development plan. It will then be used to determine planning applications within the designated Ham and Petersham neighbourhood area.
If you have any queries on the consultation process, please email

Yours faithfully
